Lee Alban Bio

Lee is a graduate of the Schuler School of Fine Arts, a highly acclaimed atelier in Baltimore, Maryland which has produced some of the country's finest artists.  He has been trained in and employs traditional methods of surface preparation, grinding paint, and producing handcrafted oils and mediums.  He is a contemporary realist painter currently specializing in two major narrative themes.  The first celebrates the lives of Native Americans and the second brings attention to women who work in nontraditional roles.

Recent work also reflects his interest in traditional landscapes and figures of the Old West.  His cowboy paintings have recently been added to the acclaimed Russell Museum auction in Great Falls, Montana.

Lee is recognized as an Associate Living Master by the Art Renewal Center of New York, and maintains signature memberships from the Oil Painters of America and the National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society.  He has also been awarded elective memberships bi the Allied Artists of America and American Artists Professional League.

His paintings have received national awards in every major category.  "Stephanie, Lady of Steam" earned the Gold Medal of Honor from the Allied Artists 107th Annual Exhibition.
