Xi Guo Bio


Xi  Guo, a Signature member of the American Watercolor Society, the National Watercolor Society, and the Northwest Watercolor Society was born in Shanghai, China in 1975.  She earned her BFA in oil painting from the Shanghai Normal University.  After competing graduate school at Savannah College of Art and Design in 2014, Xi moved to St. Augustine, Florida,


Xi started to focus on painting with watercolor about nine years ago, and soon became an internationally award-winning artist.  Xi's paintings have been exhibited in China, England, France, Hong Kong, Italy, South Korea, and Vietnam.  Her articles and paintings have been featured in International Artist Magazine and Watercolor Artists Magazine.  Her paintings have been included in the art book "The Best of Watercolor- Splash 16, 20, and 21."


In 2015, Xi won an award at the the Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours 203rd Open Exhibition, and a major award at the Shenzen International Watercolor Biennial.  Xi's paintings have been accepted by the American Watercolor Society's International Exhibition five times since 2015.  Moreover, Xi won awards at the National Watercolor Society's International Exhibition in 2016, 2017, and 2020.


Xi  was also a top award winner at the National  Watercolor Society's Annual Members Exhibition, and Best of Show winner at the Florida Watercolor Society's 48th Exhibition in 2019.  Recently, Xi received the "Best Watercolor" award at the 15th International Art Renewal Center Salon competition and the Anne Williams Glushien Memorial Award at the American Watercolor Society's 154th International Exhibition.
